The species Streptomyces stelliscabiei was originally described and validly published by Bouchek-Mechiche et al. 2000. Madhaiyan et al. established this name as a later heterotypic synonym of Waksman 1961 (Approved Lists 1980) emend. Madhaiyan et al. 2020 in 2020.
