Nomenclatural History
The species Streptomyces venezuelae was originally described by Ehrlich et al. 1948. This name appeared on the Approved Lists of Bacterial Names 1980. Shirling and Gottlieb published an emended description of this species in 1969. A subsequent emendation was proposed by Nouioui et al. in 2018.
