Nomenclatural History
The species Streptomyces viridosporus was originally described by Pridham et al. 1958. This name appeared on the Approved Lists of Bacterial Names 1980. Goodfellow et al. published an emended description of this species in 2017. Goodfellow et al. established this name as an earlier heterotypic synonym of Wallhäusser et al. 1966 (Approved Lists 1980) emend. Nouioui et al. 2018 in 2017.
