Nomenclatural History	The species Kitasatospora kifunensis was originally described and validly published by Groth et al. 2003. Groth et al. formed this name in 2003 by placing the species Streptomyces kifunensis Nakagaito et al. 1993 into the genus Streptomyces Waksman and Henrici 1943 (Approved Lists 1980) emend. Idris et al. 2017.
