Nomenclatural History
The genus Streptoverticillium was originally proposed by Baldacci 1958. This name appeared on the Approved Lists of Bacterial Names 1980. Baldacci and Locci published an emended description of this genus in 1974. Witt and Stackebrandt transferred the members of this genus into Waksman and Henrici 1943 (Approved Lists 1980) emend. Idris et al. 2017 in 1990.
