The species Microbispora bispora was originally described by Lechevalier 1965. This name appeared on the Approved Lists of Bacterial Names 1980. In 1996, Wang et al. established as the basonym of (Henssen 1957) Wang et al. 1996 emend. Nouioui et al. 2018 .
