Nomenclatural History
The species Thermobifida fusca was originally described and validly published by Zhang et al. 1998. Nouioui et al. published an emended description of this species in 2018. Zhang et al. formed this name in 1998 by placing the species (ex Henssen 1957) McCarthy and Cross 1984 into the genus Zhang et al. 1998 emend. Yang et al. 2008.
