Nomenclatural History
The genus Thermomonospora was originally proposed by Henssen 1957. This name appeared on the Approved Lists of Bacterial Names 1980. Ktister published an emended description of this genus in 1974. Subsequent emendations were proposed by Zhang et al. in 1998 and Nouioui et al. in 2018.
