Nomenclatural History

The species Thermomonospora mesouviformis was originally described by Nonomura and Ohara 1974. This name appeared on the Approved Lists of Bacterial Names 1980. Zhang et al. established this name as a later heterotypic synonym of
Thermomonospora alba (Locci et al. 1967) Cross and Goodfellow 1973 (Approved Lists 1980)
in 1998.
