The species Actinomadura longispora was originally described by Preobrazhenskaya and Sveshnikova 1974. This name appeared on the Approved Lists of Bacterial Names 1980. In 1982, Preobrazhenskaia et al. established as the basonym of (Preobrazhenskaya and Sveshnikova 1974) Preobrazhenskaia et al. 1985 .
