Nomenclatural History
This name became validly published when it appeared on Validation List No. 36 in 1991. The species Actinomadura rubrobrunea was originally described by Krasil'nikov et al. 1968. It pre-dated the Approved Lists of Bacterial Names but was excluded from those lists. In 1990 the name was revived by Kroppenstedt et al.. Nouioui et al. published an emended description of this species in 2018. Nouioui et al. established this name as an earlier heterotypic synonym of (Agre and Guzeva 1975) Zhang et al. 2001 emend. Nouioui et al. 2018 in 2018.
