Nomenclatural History
The species Blastococcus aggregatus was originally described by Ahrens and Moll 1970. This name appeared on the Approved Lists of Bacterial Names 1980. Hezbri et al. published an emended description of this species in 2016. A subsequent emendation was proposed by Urzì et al. in 2004.
