Nomenclatural History
The genus Kineosporia was originally proposed by Pagani and Parenti 1978. This name appeared on the Approved Lists of Bacterial Names 1980. Itoh et al. published an emended description of this genus in 1989. A subsequent emendation was proposed by Kudo et al. in 1998.
