Nomenclatural History
The species Leptospira interrogans was originally described by Wenyon 1926. This name appeared on the Approved Lists of Bacterial Names 1980. This name was affected by Judicial Opinion 91 in 2014. Faine and Stallman published an emended description of this species in 1982. A subsequent emendation was proposed by Hördt et al. in 2020.
