Nomenclatural History
The species Prevotella dentalis was originally described and validly published by Willems and Collins 1995. Hahnke et al. published an emended description of this species in 2016. Willems and Collins formed this name in 1995 by placing the species Haapasalo et al. 1986 into the genus Shah and Collins 1990 emend. Sakamoto and Ohkuma 2012.
