Nomenclatural History
The species Flavobacterium succinicans was originally described and validly published by Bernardet et al. 1996. García-López et al. published an emended description of this species in 2019. Bernardet et al. formed this name in 1996 by placing the species (ex Anderson and Ordal 1961) Reichenbach 1989 into the genus Bergey et al. 1923 (Approved Lists 1980) emend. Dong et al. 2013.
