Nomenclatural History	The species Flavobacterium thalpophilum was originally described and validly published by Holmes et al. 1983. In 1992, Takeuchi and Yokota established Flavobacterium thalpophilum as the basonym of Sphingobacterium thalpophilum (Holmes et al. 1983) Takeuchi and Yokota 1993 emend. Hahnke et al. 2016 .
