Nomenclatural History
The species Capnocytophaga ochracea was originally described by Leadbetter et al. 1979. This name became validly published when it appeared on Validation List No. 8 in 1982. Leadbetter et al. formed this name in 1979 by placing the species Prévot et al. 1956 (Approved Lists 1980) into the genus Leadbetter et al. 1982 emend. García-López et al. 2019.
