Nomenclatural History
The species Myroides odoratus was originally described and validly published by Vancanneyt et al. 1996. Hahnke et al. published an emended description of this species in 2016. Vancanneyt et al. formed this name in 1996 by placing the species Stutzer 1929 (Approved Lists 1980) into the genus Vancanneyt et al. 1996 emend. García-López et al. 2019.
