Nomenclatural History
The species Riemerella anatipestifer was originally described and validly published by Segers et al. 1993. Rubbenstroth et al. published an emended description of this species in 2013. Segers et al. formed this name in 1993 by placing the species (Hendrickson and Hilbert 1932) Bruner and Fabricant 1954 (Approved Lists 1980) into the genus Segers et al. 1993 emend. Rubbenstroth et al. 2013.
