Nomenclatural History

The species Zobellia uliginosa was originally described and validly published by Barbeyron et al. 2001. This name was affected by Judicial Opinion 81 in 2008. Nedashkovskaya et al. published an emended description of this species in 2021. Barbeyron et al. formed this name in 2001 by placing the species
Cellulophaga uliginosa (ZoBell and Upham 1944) Bowman 2000
into the genus Zobellia Barbeyron et al. 2001 emend. Barbeyron et al. 2021.
