Nomenclatural History
The species Lewinella persica was originally described and validly published by Sly et al. 1998. Khan et al. published an emended description of this species in 2007. A subsequent emendation was proposed by Hahnke et al. in 2016. Sly et al. formed this name in 1998 by placing the species Lewin 1970 (Approved Lists 1980) into the genus Sly et al. 1998 emend. Khan et al. 2007.
