Nomenclatural History	The species Flexibacter sancti was originally described by Lewin 1969. This name appeared on the Approved Lists of Bacterial Names 1980. In 2006, Kämpfer et al. established Flexibacter sancti as the basonym of Chitinophaga sancti (Lewin 1969) Kämpfer et al. 2006 emend. Hahnke et al. 2016 .
