Nomenclatural History
The species Algibacter lectus was originally described and validly published by Nedashkovskaya et al. 2004. García-López et al. published an emended description of this species in 2019. A subsequent emendation was proposed by Liu et al. in 2021. Liu et al. established this name as an earlier heterotypic synonym of Yoon and Park 2013 in 2021.
