The species Bradyrhizobium betae was originally described and validly published by Rivas et al. 2004. Velázquez et al. established this name as a later heterotypic synonym of
Seliberia stellata Aristovskaya and Parinkina 1963 (Approved Lists 1980)
in 2015.
