The species Clostridium jejuense was originally described and validly published by Jeong et al. 2004. In 2013, Yutin and Galperin established Clostridium jejuense as the basonym of
Lachnoclostridium jejuense (Jeong et al. 2004) Yutin and Galperin 2013
. In 2016, Ueki et al. established Clostridium jejuense as the basonym of
Anaerocolumna jejuensis (Jeong et al. 2004) Ueki et al. 2016
.
