Nomenclatural History
The species Gramella echinicola was originally described and validly published by Nedashkovskaya et al. 2005. Jeong et al. published an emended description of this species in 2013. Subsequent emendations were proposed by Shahina et al. in 2014 and Panschin et al. in 2016.
