Nomenclatural History

The species Planococcus stackebrandtii was originally described and validly published by Mayilraj et al. 2005. In 2009, Jung et al. established Planococcus stackebrandtii as the basonym of
Planomicrobium stackebrandtii (Mayilraj et al. 2005) Jung et al. 2009
.
Gupta and Patel 2019 effectively reverse the placement of this species into Planomicrobium by Jung et al. 2009.
