Nomenclatural History
The genus Rochalimaea was originally proposed by Krieg 1961. This name appeared on the Approved Lists of Bacterial Names 1980. Weiss and Moulder published an emended description of this genus in 1974. Brenner et al. transferred the members of this genus into Strong et al. 1915 (Approved Lists 1980) emend. Birtles et al. 1995 in 1993.
