Nomenclatural History
The species Arachnia propionica was originally described by Pine and Georg 1969. This name appeared on the Approved Lists of Bacterial Names 1980. Tindall published an emended description of this species in 2019. In 1988, Charfreitag et al. established as the basonym of corrig. (Buchanan and Pine 1962) Charfreitag et al. 1988 . Tindall established as an earlier homotypic synonym of (Buchanan and Pine 1962) Scholz and Kilian 2016 pro synon. Arachnia propionica (Buchanan and Pine 1962) Pine and Georg 1969 (Approved Lists 1980) emend. Tindall 2019 in 2019.
