Nomenclatural History
|
The genus Conglomeromonas was originally proposed and validly published by Skerman et al. 1983. Ben Dekhil et al. transferred the members of this genus into
Azospirillum Tarrand et al. 1979 (Approved Lists 1980) emend. Falk et al. 1985
in 1997.
The transfer of the type subspecies of the type species for this genus effectively unified the genus Conglomeromonas with Azospirillum.
