Nomenclatural History
|
The subspecies Conglomeromonas largomobilis parooensis was originally described and validly published by Skerman et al. 1983. Sly and Stackebrandt elevated this subspecies to the rank of species to form the name
Skermanella parooensis (Skerman et al. 1983) Sly and Stackebrandt 1999
in 1999.
Dekhil et al. attempted to elevate Conglomeromonas largomobilis subsp. parooensis to replace the nomenclatural. This contravenes the Code. Eventually, this subspecies was transferred to the genus Skermanella.
