Nomenclatural History	The species Thermobacteroides proteolyticus was originally described and validly published by Ollivier et al. 1985. In 1993, Rainey and Stackebrandt established Thermobacteroides proteolyticus as the basonym of Coprothermobacter proteolyticus (Ollivier et al. 1985) Rainey and Stackebrandt 1993 .
