Nomenclatural History
The subspecies Haloincola saccharolyticus saccharolyticus was originally described and validly published by Cayol et al. 1994. Euzéby corrected this name from (sic) to . In 1994, Cayol et al. reduced corrig. Zhilina et al. 1992 emend. Cayol et al. 1994 to the rank of subspecies. In 1995, Rainey et al. established as the basonym of corrig. (Zhilina et al. 1992) Rainey et al. 1995 .
