Nomenclatural History
The subspecies Lactobacillus plantarum argentoratensis was originally described and validly published by Bringel et al. 2005. In 2020, Zheng et al. established as the basonym of (Bringel et al. 2005) Zheng et al. 2020 . Li et al. elevated this subspecies to the rank of species to form the name (Bringel et al. 2005) Li et al. 2020 in 2020.
