Nomenclatural History
|
The genus Microcella was originally proposed by Tiago et al. 2005. This name became validly published when it appeared on Validation List No. 105 in 2005. Tiago et al. published an emended description of this genus in 2006. A subsequent emendation was proposed by Xie et al. in 2021.
