Nomenclatural History	The species Tetrasphaera duodecadis was originally described and validly published by Ishikawa and Yokota 2006. Ishikawa and Yokota formed this name in 2006 by placing the species Arthrobacter duodecadis Lochhead 1958 (Approved Lists 1980) into the genus Tetrasphaera Maszenan et al. 2000 emend. Ishikawa and Yokota 2006. In 2018, Nouioui et al. established Tetrasphaera duodecadis as the basonym of Phycicoccus duodecadis (Lochhead 1958) Nouioui et al. 2018 .
