Nomenclatural History
The species Chromohalobacter beijerinckii was originally described and validly published by Peçonek et al. 2006. Peçonek et al. formed this name in 2006 by placing the species Hof 1935 (Approved Lists 1980) into the genus Ventosa et al. 1989 emend. Arahal et al. 2001.
