Nomenclatural History
The species Bartonella henselae was originally described and validly published by Brenner et al. 1993. Hördt et al. published an emended description of this species in 2020. Brenner et al. formed this name in 1993 by placing the species Regnery et al. 1992 into the genus Strong et al. 1915 (Approved Lists 1980) emend. Birtles et al. 1995.
