Nomenclatural History	The subspecies Beijerinckia indica indica was originally described by Starkey and De 1939. This name was validly published by Howey et al. 1990. In 1990, Howey et al. reduced Beijerinckia indica (Starkey and De 1939) Derx 1950 (Approved Lists 1980) emend. Hördt et al. 2020 to the rank of subspecies.
