Rhodopseudomonas palustris (Molisch 1907) van Niel 1944 (Approved Lists 1980) emend. Venkata Ramana et al. 2012
Nomenclatural History
The species Rhodopseudomonas palustris was originally described by van Niel 1944. This name appeared on the Approved Lists of Bacterial Names 1980. This name was affected by Judicial Opinion 49 in 1974. Venkata Ramana et al. published an emended description of this species in 2012. Hiraishi et al. established this name as an earlier heterotypic synonym of Akiba et al. 1983 in 1992. Imhoff et al. established as an earlier homotypic synonym of Venkata Ramana et al. 2012 emend. Hördt et al. 2020 pro synon. Rhodopseudomonas palustris (Molisch 1907) van Niel 1944 (Approved Lists 1980) emend. Venkata Ramana et al. 2012 in 2020.
