Nomenclatural History
The genus Roseomonas was originally proposed by Rihs et al. 1993. This name became validly published when it appeared on Validation List No. 65 in 1998. Sánchez-Porro et al. published an emended description of this genus in 2009. Subsequent emendations were proposed by Venkata Ramana et al. in 2010 and Rai et al. in 2021. Sánchez-Porro et al. transferred the members of Kämpfer et al. 2003 into this genus in 2009. Sánchez-Porro et al. transferred the members of Kämpfer et al. 2003 into this genus in 2009.
