Nomenclatural History
The subspecies Roseomonas gilardii gilardii was originally described by Han et al. 2003. This name became validly published when it appeared on Validation List No. 94 in 2003. Sánchez-Porro et al. published an emended description of this subspecies in 2009. In 2009, Sánchez-Porro et al. reduced Rihs et al. 1998 emend. Sánchez-Porro et al. 2009 to the rank of subspecies.
