Nomenclatural History	The species Burkholderia caryophylli was originally described by Yabuuchi et al. 1992. This name became validly published when it appeared on Validation List No. 45 in 1993. Yabuuchi et al. formed this name in 1992 by placing the species Pseudomonas caryophylli (Burkholder 1942) Starr and Burkholder 1942 (Approved Lists 1980) into the genus Burkholderia Yabuuchi et al. 1993 emend. Dobritsa and Samadpour 2019. In 2014, Sawana et al. established Burkholderia caryophylli as the basonym of Paraburkholderia caryophylli (Burkholder 1942) Sawana et al. 2015 .
