Nomenclatural History
The species Ralstonia syzygii was originally described and validly published by Vaneechoutte et al. 2004. Safni et al. published an emended description of this species in 2014. Vaneechoutte et al. formed this name in 2004 by placing the species Roberts et al. 1990 into the genus Yabuuchi et al. 1996. In 2014, Safni et al. reduced this species to the rank of subspecies to form (Roberts et al. 1990) Safni et al. 2014 .
