Nomenclatural History
The species Diaphorobacter nitroreducens was originally described by Khan and Hiraishi 2002. This name became validly published when it appeared on Validation List No. 92 in 2003. Liu and Zhu published an emended description of this species in 2019. Liu and Zhu established this name as an earlier heterotypic synonym of Qiu et al. 2015 in 2019.
