Nomenclatural History
|
The genus Thiobacillus was originally proposed by Beijerinck 1904. This name appeared on the Approved Lists of Bacterial Names 1980. Boden et al. published an emended description of this genus in 2017. A subsequent emendation was proposed by Vishniac in 1974.
