Nomenclatural History
|
The genus Francisella was originally proposed by Dorofe'ev 1947. This name appeared on the Approved Lists of Bacterial Names 1980. Owen published an emended description of this genus in 1974. A subsequent emendation was proposed by Huber et al. in 2010.
