Nomenclatural History
|
The species Pseudomonas iners was originally described by Iizuka and Komagata 1964. This name appeared on the Approved Lists of Bacterial Names 1980. Satomi et al. transferred the members of
Marinobacterium georgiense González et al. 1997 emend. Satomi et al. 2002
into this species in 2002. In 2019, Tindall established Pseudomonas iners as the basonym of
Marinobacterium iners (Iizuka and Komagata 1964) Tindall 2020
