Nomenclatural History
The species Pseudomonas nitroreducens was originally described by Iizuka and Komagata 1964. This name appeared on the Approved Lists of Bacterial Names 1980. Lang et al. published an emended description of this species in 2007. Lang et al. established this name as an earlier heterotypic synonym of Mohn et al. 1999 in 2007. Lalucat et al. established this name as an earlier heterotypic synonym of Wang et al. 2015 in 2020.
